Telemedicine constults are available by phone or video for existing patients/clients as an addition to in-clinic sessions, and where a visit to the clinic isn't possible (eg health restrictions/ COVID measures etc). These sessions are, for example, to answer any questions/ concerns about previously discussed conditions and treatment recommendations, for additional help with at-home exercises, for fine-tune management of the geriatric and orthopedic patient, medication concerns etc.

We also offer general information telemedicine sessions for enquiries:

1) "my dog blew his knee: what now?" (Cruciate injuries)
2) "how do I help my aging friend live more comfortably?" (Geriatric management).

Our wait-list is often long, so these can fill the initial information gap. These consults allow a good discussion about what options are available for the cruciate or geriatric patient and help you with decision making going forward. NOTE: These consults will be limited to generalised information about these conditions, as we can only provide specific clinical advice for patients we have examined in-clinic.

As we do not provide emergency or primary veterinary services, our telemedicine consults can not be a substitute for emergency care providers. There are of course inherent limitations as to what can be achieved in the telemedicine format, which are addressed on a case by case basis.
